2006 started off as a difficult year for 7th heaven with the abrupt departure of Andrew Blake leaving the band to have to cancel numerous shows last minute. Something that has never happened before. Andrew left 7th heaven because he felt he wasn't being paid enough for his work.
Finding out that the band was in dire need to not cancel anymore shows than it needed, past band members Tony DiGiulio, Nick Cox, Danny Weymouth, Mike Mooshey and Tammy Mooshey came out to help keep the band alive.
Richie Hofher, Dan Miller and Mark Kennetz still remained in the band.
It should also be mentioned that Dan Volpe of the band X-Side helped as well by allowing Richie to use his practice space.
The 7th heaven family took over to help keep the band alive. 7th heaven was able to honor the remaining dates.
While the band was keep the band afloat, Richie started searching for a proper replacement for Andrew. After searching thru 500+ singers, Richie came across Keith Semple on his myspace website. Richie emailed Keith and asked "What are you doing with music?"... Keith then called Richie. Richie hard his voice mail and was impressed with his agressive attitude to join the band.
After a couple phone calls, Keith explained that he won "Pop Stars" TV Show (The U.K. version of American Idol). Keith came to America and Richie had 7th heaven (which was set-up a LLC Corporation) sponsor Keith to be in the U.S.
Because of his acomplishments Keith was able to qualify for a O1 visa, which is given for people who excel at what they do.
Keith brings a great positive energy to the band and has tremendous talents, besides singing he is a great drummer, guitar players, bass player and can play keyboards. (also don't play him in pool or tennis)
