7TH HEAVEN - U.S.A.-U.K.
© 2008 NTD Records • 18 tracks • Release date: August 2008 ON THE ROAD MAGAZINE - (JAPAN/SPAIN) The band 7th Heaven from Chicago is back with his latest studio album, released now after several years of releasing acclaimed double album "Silver" which received good reviews worldwide. The band continues to sound that I would define as a melodic rock with hi-tech AOR, more or less like a mixture of Def Leppard with Bon Jovi and some more pop, but all with the highest competence in the compositions. The band has come to play in the festival MelodicRockFest in 2007 and it seems that every year and every launch of a new album, the band goes a step to success. The album "Silver" was a double CD, this new album entitled "USA-UK" We have 18 slots, not all arrive at 4 minutes, showing compositions short and efficient, and gummy to the extreme. In this new album we have again the good voice of the singer Keith Semple, the band is supplemented by: Richie Hofherr - Guitars, Vocals, Keyboards, Mark Kennetz - Bass, Vocals, Mike Mooshey - Drums. I believe that after we heard the album covers of the band, I had even more certainty that the Def Leppard is a great influence on them, with songs and melodic, with refrões easy to decorate and vocalizations exquisite undoubtedly a legacy of his greatest influence. The album starts with an emphasis on "Better this way," impossible not to remember the Def Leppard, I doubt that you will not quit singing the great chorus, in addition to having a great guitar break. I think that every album should have a start like that. It is incredible how the band composed an album that easy assimilation, you listen and you do not realize the time passes, their songs do you really want to hear it until the end, and one more example is the excellent "Cellophane," this more hi-tech AOR. The band has not changed much your style from the album "Silver" but I can say that now the band seems more at ease, and exploring the best the band has to offer in areas such as voice and melody. We have the beautiful ballad "Still be Here", which has some effects of production and is accompanied by a large chorus. And we have more highlights with the excellent "Gave You My World" and "This Summer Gonna Last Forever", both follow the same line of composition, and stand out. In an album with 18 tracks, there are many songs in focus, short tracks, direct and melodic and sometimes commercial, but when the music is well composed, the word trade has become obsolete when the music is really good.
